Trying To Get Out Of My Lease

Location: Troy-Albany area in upstate NY

hi, i am a college student going to college in-state in Troy NY, and honestly im trying to finagle my way out of living with my current roommate who i naively already signed my lease with next year with. for context, it is a full year lease starting june 1st and i have found someone to sublease for the summer while im not there. i have also yet to pay the security deposit. i tried negotiating with my landlord if there’s any way to back out of this as me and my roommate have had many issues with each other within the last months but he is of course pushing that i find someone to sublease and, as a compromise, he will not fee the subletter. me and my current roommate have tried to fix things but there were issues where i directly told them a boundary i had and it was, imo, met with excuses and them eventually saying no to my boundary. we have very different lifestyles, some of which involve the “college party culture”, i won’t go into details but im not one to dabble in it and especially not overdoing it. i feel it makes our communication worse, as the reasonings behind what they do and the reasons behind why things happened is often that they were inebriated. i am all for living the lifestyle you want, but it has encroached on me. i have desperately tried posting and cross posting on reddit and tried on the school facebook group but no solid bites yet. i have a new place lined up, but im getting nervous that i won’t be able to find anyone to take over my lease next semester. any help is appreciated, im pretty sure i didn’t cover a lot of the more helpful context so please ask questions if needed.
