Threats Over Messages

LOCATION: Michigan

Hi! I’m a senior in high school, and I dated this guy a long time ago. When I broke up with him, he became super angry. And now he’s threatening me with stuff like “Someone should kill you”, “I hope she gets killed in school”, “Just her being alive makes me angry.”, etc etc.

I blocked him, and I kept screenshots of him saying those things, but he keeps saying those types of things to his friends, and I really don’t feel safe around him anymore. He showed me his father’s weapons and showed me bruises he got from punching his walls cause of our break up.

Genuinely, I’m really scared. I feel like I’m just overreacting.. But I don’t know. I think I’m going to talk to my counselor and principal tomorrow. Please, give me advice. I never dealt with something lik this and I don’t know who to tell. I already told my parents. I don’t want anything to happen to me or anyone to my school.
