Summary Consent Decree- Am I Giving Up Rights?
Location: Arizona
My husband and I are trying to finalize a summary consent decree, and he is pressuring me to sign it this week while he is in town so he can file. He makes $81k a year and I make around $49k a year.My job does not offer health insurance. I took the job because he said I would be on his health insurance. Two weeks after starting the job he separated from me. We own a house together which he finally agreed to split the cost of selling our home 50/50. He is leaving with about $13k worth of stuff and I am leaving with about $4k worth of stuff. We have a joint Youtube channel that is monetized. He is demanding in the summary consent decree that it be permanently deleted. I want to keep the videos for memories of the travels and not revenue. He refused. He is offering in our summary consent decree to give me a one time payment of $1500 within 7 days of the divorce and nothing more.In the decree he put no spousal support now or in the future, and permanent deletion of our Youtube channel. He also kicked me out of our house that we own together and changed the locks. Most of my belongings are there and he called the cops on me before changing the locks. He has since been packing my things for me. Under Arizona law, is signing the summary consent decree likely giving up significant rights or would filing and letting the court decide potentially result in a more balanced outcome?
