My Manager Is Threatening To Change Time Sheets As A Punishment

i’ll also answer some of the questions i got here

do we get breaks - we don’t get scheduled breaks even in some of the longer shifts like 2pm-1130pm but we are sitting every once in a while during downtime.

what aren’t people doing during their shift - we are assigned prepacks which are usually small cups with either italian ice or gelato, we are an event heavy store which causes us to have tons to make (often anywhere from 300-1000 per week) mind you we only have 1-2 people working at a time and have to deal with customers and cleaning in between

go to hr - i don’t know of any hr resources for my store as we only have 4 locations in my state and any complaints we have we go to the manager who sent this message.

My manager has sent a message out saying if we don’t do our tasks or if we are sitting for a period of time she or the owner will deduct time from our time card

We have 7 people that work at our ice cream shop that isn’t an unpopular spot and gets good business. any advice out there (prepacks are what we make for catering orders and school events we do)
Is this illegal.

Moving forward- prepacks are not optional. We were not that busy on Sunday. There was time to get prepacks and sidework completed. Please make
sure you are also posting pictures of your sidework.

This goes for everyone- I'm done sending out reminders. I'll just stop scheduling you. This "they need me" mentality needs to stop. There are plenty of people who want and need jobs right now. I have zero issues hiring new employees. Im done repeating myself and my kindness being taken advantage of.

With all this said- from now on if myself or Raul get on cameras and see you sitting around for an excessive amount of time- I will be deducting the time spent not working from your hours for that day. There has been way too much not getting done and majority of the time I get on cameras, there has been way too much sitting
