My Doctor That Abused Me When I Was Younger Might Have Had Other Victims. What Can I Do? (ny)

Hello,

I’m 21, and when I was around 7 I was verbally and sexually abused by my doctor. It’s always haunted me, i’ve been traumatized since. My mother and grandmother found out at the time, and they pulled me out immediately but didn’t pursue legal action unfortunately because they were afraid.

Fast track to now, I’m facing flashbacks and decided to confront and look at reviews of the place to see if anyone else has had the same experiences, I find about 3 reviews describing what I experienced. Emotional abuse, and unresolved nightmares from memories of our visits to him.

I know this was about 14 years ago now for me, and I don’t know what I can do to make this right. I’m really upset and it kills me to think there’s other kids that might be going through the same right now as he is still a practicing doctor.

What can I do? I’m low income so I can’t necessarily afford a lawyer out of pocket, and how can I find other victims to support my case as I don’t have evidence other than medical records stating I visited him? I’m located in NY. Thank you.
