My Car Was Smashed/totaled By A 16 Year Old That Claims He Fell Asleep At The Wheel And Can’t Get His Insurance To Help
As the title says essentially. Location: USGeorgia My mom borrowed my car with expressed permission and she had my daughter in the back seat. They were stopped at a red light when this occurred so no option to say they slammed on the brakes or anything. When first responders arrived the driver of the other car admitted fault and it’s stated in the police report that they admitted fault. I’m getting the runaround from his insurance company, claiming they are still trying to determine who is at fault. Any time i call their customer service i get forwarded to my “claim team” where I’ve left a voicemail with no callback for 3 days now. The wreck occurred 5 days ago at this point and i just want this nightmare to be over with. I want them to give me a rental car and get their shit sorted out on their end.
EDIT- At the moment i just want the other drivers insurance to 1 give me ANY information at all and 2 assist with a rental car. My insurer said they cannot help with getting me a rental through the other company I am well aware that this will not be cut and dry or immediate. But i would appreciate some type of cooperation and accountability on their end i guess. I didn’t realize that was a bad thing. I genuinely have never been in this situation before
