My Boss Picked Up The Loan For My Truck And Now Wants Me To Sign The Truck Over To Him.

So long weird story. I bought a truck (2011 F350) from my old boss. While working for him he partnered with another company. They transferred me to new boss.

Suffice it to say things went south. Lawsuit went down and as part of the lawsuit settlement my new boss received the note on my truck from old boss (still on good terms with both I stayed out of it)

During this time new boss kept telling me that he was getting me my title to my truck through his lawsuit as a bonus for me.

Now it’s done and they’ve finalized everything a month ago and now today he handed me a bill of sale to sign and notarize to transfer it to him for free. There is only 6K left to pay on the 30k note.

At this point I haven’t said anything and am also talking to a lawyer on Monday, but would like some varied insight to better understand the legal aspects of this.

TLDR: Utah - boss acquired the note to my truck through a settlement and now wants me to just sign the title over.

Added info: It’s literally an Utah bill of sale to his company with $0 where the sale price is. Printed from the Utah DMV website.
