My 4month Died

Card image cap

Location: Racine, Wisconsin Last year a few days after thanksgiving our 4 month old baby boy died of Kawasaki disease and covid. Fluid built up around his heart and killed him. Roughly a week or so prior we took him in 3 days in a row for a fever over 104, two of the days here in Racine at his primary and the 3rd day in Milwaukee at a bigger hospital. The first hospital told us he had a virus and prescribed Tylenol, the second day they said he had an ear infection and prescribed antibiotics and ibuprofen l, the third day I was fed up and stressed out so we took him to another doctor, the other doctor confirm he didn’t have an ear infection but they took a urine test and prescribed antibiotics for a uti and told us not to give him ibuprofen because he was too young, at this point he has a rash all over. Non of the doctors mentioned any of his other symptoms so when we tried to find a lawyer he said because they didn’t document all of his symptoms we cannot go after them. We have 3 years to do something about it and its coming up on a year, we’ve been discouraged by that lawyer so we haven’t looked for another, but i feel like both of the hospitals should be held accountable for my sons life, from something treatable. Do we have a case or is this just something we have to let go of?
