Location:mn Custody- 6 Months In And After A Signed Stipulation I Let My Lawyer Go Because I Can’t Afford Her Anymore. I Thought It Would Be Over Since Everything Is Signed But Now There’s Been Communication With A Judge For A Default

Location: MN This is a simple custody case and it’s been drug tf out due to my ex(petitioner) not responding to his lawyer. I was mostly paying for my lawyer to speak with his. We finally got a stipulation signed at the end of may. It was rejected due to errors on attorneys end. I told my lawyer I can’t afford you anymore so we left on good terms with her understanding my financial situation. I figured his lawyer would be capable of fixing the errors and I’d resign and we’d be good to go. Well now I had to be deemed as self represented in this matter. I resigned the stipulation and it was sent into the court with me signing that I was self represented.

A week later his lawyer emailed me saying that they are asking for a default hearing (our court was mid July if we couldn’t come to an agreement but we did). In a letter to the judge, His lawyer recognized I was self represented after previously having counsel and that she’s asking the judge to please turn this pre-trial into a default hearing. What does this mean? I figured that since we signed the stipulation that we’re done with this.
