Is This Workplace Retaliation/targeting? What Should I Do From Here?
Location: Arizona I have been employed at my work for 11 years. Never any instances of being called to the office for anything. Employee of the quarter awards multiple times. Recently I was not happy with the way things were going and the workload I had placed on me. After multiple attempts with management, I went over their heads to the owner of the company. He was very nice and arranged for a meeting where I thought everything went well and even got a promotion. A month went by and suddenly I started getting called to the office for multiple what I consider to be nitpick things. One was a comment I made on fb on another coworkers post. Her post was “why is my best never good enough” and I replied “ just keep doing what you’re doing. People in life will make you feel that way sometimes especially those in higher positions occasionally”. No names listed and no mention of work. But I got called up. A week later me and some coworkers were talking about our holiday schedule on the floor as we had some complaints about it. This is common to discuss stuff like this and I was not the only one. I got called to the office again and they accused me and only me of starting drama on the floor. To me this seems like retaliation for going over their heads. What should I do?
