Interviewing With A Company Who Hired My Former Boss. She Is Still Under Non-solicitation.

TL|DR how do I avoid having problems with a former boss's non-solicitation and non-compete when I leave my company to go work for her again.

Let's call my company "ACME", my boss "Amy" and the company I'm interviewing with "Bonsai".

Amy was a VP of Coyote Affairs who left ACME in May to work for Bonsai, similar role, different industry (trees as opposed to dynamite tee hee hee). ACME is very paranoid and had Amy sign several restrictive covenants, including a 12-month non-solicitation. I used to work with Amy, reported directly to her for more than one year, saw an opening with ACME two weeks ago and had coffee with her to ask about the position. She was clear to say "I'm only here because you asked." and "you reached out first, and I'm happy to tell you about the company." I did not put her down as a reference but she did mention my name to the hiring manager.

The interviews have gone very well with Isidor, who told me at the end of the last call that because of a reorg, the position would report to Amy again. Based on what I know about Bonsai, the position, and the compensation, I'd take the offer if it were given to me.

Are there enough problems that I should waive off, or can I keep from this being a problem?
I haven't signed a non-compete or any other agreement with ACME about working at Bonsai.
The single thing I dread most is if my current boss, Wiley, simply asks "Are you going to work at Bonsai or with Amy?" because I'd have to lie or dodge the topic altogether with something vague like "I am choosing not to say more other than I am seeking a role that is not with a direct competitor." because ACME is litigious like a crooked used mobile home dealer.
