I Was Fired Without Cause Last Week Because President Had A Meltdown. What Are My Options?

Location: Québec, Canada

I have been working at that place for more than a year, but less than 2. No unions. I was an engineering manager, considered "management" in the sense that they forced me to do overtime while not paying me because I was part of the management.

Never got a single warning, or disagreement, or anything that would suggest I wasn't doing my job properly. Nothing.

Then the president wrote to me on wednesday to ask me to force the team into more forced overtime, to which I replied very respectfully something along the line of "Sure, we can, but that still won't allow us to deliver the product next week. We need a roadmap that stop changing and more time". Apparently that send him in a panic mode, and surprise, I got fired the day after because "I wasn't hard enough on the team".

They offered me the legal 2 week severance, plus an extra 2 weeks. That's not much, considering the fact that employees that were mass fired last summer got 2 months.

What are my options here ? I cannot submit a complain with CNESST because I have been working there less than 2 years, but I definitely want more money for firing me without cause. Is it reasonable to ask for 6 months or pay, hoping they give me 4 months?
