I Violated Company Policy, Got Fired, Not Getting My $5000 Bonus, Not Eligable For Unemployment, Teamsters Won't Do Anything.

Hi, I was a bus driver in Alaska until last month, when I was put on an unfamiliar route and missed a railroad crossing stop, heres the law: (§ 392.10 Railroad grade crossings; stopping required.)
Unfortunately, our union employee representative retired a couple months ago, and our new one is the general managers friend. So this common mistake that usually ends up in a days suspension and an afternoon of retraining(I know 4 people who had this happen), ended up with me "willfully violating company policy".
This means I am no longer going to get my $5000 bonus, no longer eligible for unemployment, and may possibly have a driving record(unclear if I do or not). I was contacted by our teamsters representative, and he said the only thing he was going to do is request they turn my termination into a voluntary quitting, which I don't believe they have done. He has not contacted me since.
I am frankly dumbfounded. I was jerked around for 2 months doing unfamiliar routes, and the first mistake I made my life has turned nearly upside down. Is there anything I can do? Would it be worth it hiring a lawyer? I don't really know what I can do now.
