I Got Hurt At Work A Week Ago On Workman’s Comp And Boss Hasn’t Told Me I Can Come Back Yet.

Location: Atlanta suburbs

I got cut down the length of my knee on June 25th from a rogue piece of metal outside while on the clock. I had to be take directly to urgent care then dropped off at home. I took a drug test but the doc told my manager there was an issue with the temperature and he said I could do it at anytime before I came back to work.

It’s now been a week and I haven’t been told what I need to do to come back. My manager just said he needed my info from the hospital + urgent care because the day after my injury I had to take myself to the hospital because the strips the urgent care gave me wouldn’t hold. My manager also said I’d be getting 60% of my take home pay while I’m hurt and out of work. I was only working at this job for a week and now I’ve been out of commission, hurt for another week but I haven’t been paid at all. I don’t want to bother my manager because I really just want my workman’s comp to keep stacking up as long as they haven’t fired me. Advice?
