Got Into An Head-on Collison.

Card image cap

Location: TEXAS BIG SPRING. Recently, in I-20 got into a head-on accident on the highway where a drunk driver came to the opposite side of the highway and crashed into us. (It was my car, but my brother was driving with 3 other my friends) Had surgeries for 1 friend, and 3 of them were discharged within 8 hrs after being tested and all. Today, I had a call with the officer on scene. He said the driver said he had insurance, but he couldn't find it. What does that mean? I'm sensing now I've to deal with a lot of hassles. I asked the officer to give a report. He just gave me the crash report number, and I bought the full report online. I checked the website, and it's still not there. What next step I should take? And one dumb thing I did, which I regret a lot, is that I didn't have insurance before the crash. Just as the crash happened, I bought liability insurance just in case. I'm a full-time student also under 21, so insurance was a lot expensive for me. I don't know what the next step is, talk with an attorney, or what? Please help me.
