Ex Has My Federal Money?

Not even sure what flair to use. I 19f recently broke up with my cheating ex 20m in February to march of 2025.

November of 2024 I received college Pell grant refund money via physical check. I used ex’s bank info because I hadn’t gotten a bank yet and wanted it faster than mailing it. I used the physical check that was mailed and addressed to me to open my own bank account.

Fast forward to February of 2025, the Pell grant refund money electronically wired to his bank info. We were in person with each other and he send it via Zelle to me. Also during this time I was gifted a MacBook and an iPhone from ex. He cheated within two days of all of this and we began our separation. I had completely forgotten to change the bank info for the refund money.

Now, sept 10th this year the Pell grant refund money was transferred to ex’s account and I did not realize until oct 9th. I texted him and asked for my money which was 944.00$. After all weekend of trying to contact him, even texting his mom he texted me back.

I was going to include screenshots because it’s to hard to explain without. I have proof that I received the iPhone and MacBook as gifts. And proof that I haven’t been in a call with him since march. I will note that he was abusive in all ways and it was hard leaving. MacBook and iPhone were fully paid off at purchase.
