Daycare Worker Pushed 1yr Old On Head, Tipped Him Onto The Floor.

Good afternoon, I was watching my 15 month old son's daycare camera just to check-in this morning, and they were sitting reading a book in group circle. They finished the book, the teacher grabbed another kid's shoes off the floor, then proceeded to push my child on the forehead. He tipped back, hit the back of his head on the floor and started crying. It looked very intentional. He was just sitting there being a good baby, and she just pushed him out of nowhere. She left him there crying for a minute before I called the center, and by the time I got off the phone, they were heading out the door to another room and he was ok at that point.

They said they don't have the footage available at the center; it needs to be reviewed by the District Manager. If they find anything suspicious, they will start an internal investigation and report it to the state since it's a licensed center. I am not allowed to review the footage with them per their handbook policy. I've honestly been gaslighting myself thinking that maybe I didn't see what happened correctly. I am worried this won't be taken seriously, the teacher might not be punished, etc...

I guess I'm wondering if I should file a police report myself, even though I haven't reviewed the footage?

Any advice about this situation will be extremely helpful. I've been trying to do some research myself, but some people are saying to let the center do it's investigation, some are saying to file a report right away. Location: Minnesota
