Can He Charge Me For Extortion?

During an argument with my spouse he called me a wh*re, which is his default comment to go to when he gets upset, and I responded with saying that money is the only thing that talks then. He took this and ran with it saying that he’s going to charge me for extortion and get his green card through me because of this, and it’s either I go through the process willingly before he divorces me or I go to prison. I have never made this type of comment before, and the topic was left in the argument and never brought up again until his threat to charge me with extortion. It hurts more than anything that he’s doing this to me because we both take arguments too far at times but never act on them, and I cannot believe he genuinely thinks I would extort him when I’ve never presented myself that way throughout our relationship. Should I start lawyering up? It’s important to note that he has made similar type of threats to me, though not of extortion, and I always let them go because I know how he runs his mouth when he’s temperamental, but would showing those messages show how we both talk out of our ssa when we fight?
