Can An Institution Get In Trouble For Not Providing Ac?

Location: MA
Hi, I'm currently attending a summer academic camp that runs for about 2.5 months. It’s a fairly intense schedule, with 6–10 hours of group work per day ( and this excludes own academic work sessions). The issue is that there is no air conditioning in any of the buildings on campus including the dorms, and MA is currently going through a heat wave (temperatures have been averaging between 88–92°F daily). They have told us in advance that there will be no ac system, but did not let us know about the heat waves and average temperatures in MA. According to the returners, this has also not been their first year with complaints due to people literally passing out from heat mid rehearsal last year. The administration has made it clear we’re not allowed to leave due to the complexity of scheduling. We also aren't allowed to use our own portable AC units.
There has already been two people who had heatstroke the past two days, with one passing out mid presentation. This is because we are trapped in these dorm rooms that are so so small and are forced to work/study hours straight. We are all over 18 and there are about 200 people in these dorms.
Given this situation:
-Could the program be legally liable for putting students at risk during extreme heat without a fan or AC? -Are there any housing safety standards that apply here? -Is there any legal action we could take if someone were to be seriously harmed by this? Thank you for any guidance.
