Anonymous Stalker Is Sending Fake Complaints To My Employers. What Can I Do?

Location: NY / Hudson Valley

Someone has been harassing me online for about 8 years. Attempting to dox me(post where I work, full legal name etc), fake accounts spewing nasty comments, accounts pretending to be me, the whole nine. I made a police report about it earlier this year and they said there is nothing they can do for me.

As of June this year, things have escalated. This person has been sending fake complaint emails to places I have worked saying I “use the N Word” and “tell customers to f*ck off”. Generally just lengthy emails saying I am bad at my job, spew slurs & steal.

I hired a private investigator to try and track this person down but all the P.I. said to me was that “they’re really good at hiding and use VPNs”. Complete waste of time and money.

What can I legally do? This person hasn’t made any direct threats, but I am SCARED. I was diagnosed with PTSD in August from this. From this I experienced an extended periods of hallucinations, panic attacks, irritability and was essentially unable to perform basic tasks.

Please, please help me.
