Am I Really Only Entitled To 1/9 Of A House? Confused About Inheritance Situation.

Hey everyone, I’m trying to understand what I’m actually entitled to in a family inheritance situation and could use some guidance. Location: New York City.

My dad passed away recently, and I wasn’t close with him so he wasn’t able to explain to me about this before he passed.

My (John) uncle (Fong) is saying that I’m only entitled to 1/9 of the house.His explanation is he, my other uncle and my grandma owns a third each. When she passed, that 1/3 was split between her three children. So each child got 1/9 and since my dad is one of those children, I would inherit his 1/9 share.

I’d like to know if he’s lying to me and what could I do about it. What is this trust income and principal in the will and why have I not received anything for it yet?
