2 Prop 65 Noticed Went Unanswered By Boss For Over 6 Months. Doesn't Want To Spend "a Lot" On Lawyers. Now It's Being Dropped In My Lap. I'm A Marketing Manager.

Location: Long Island, NY
I'm not comfortable providing any sort of legal advice to my company leadership but need a solution because there are 2 outstanding notices.
1st Law Firm: Sent us a courtesy email letting me know that a default judgement was being requested due to lack of communication. This is for PVC dipped handles on an crafting tool.
2nd Law Firm. The other served us papers last week but are still willing to negotiate after chatting with them.
Our leadership hopes to get these resolved now for under 20k including a flat rate legal fee.
I have no experience other than talking 1 one lawyer that said they alone would be 20k + 5k retainer + the legal fees of the other lawyers and penalties.
They desperately need some guidance here.
Can anyone suggest a resource that would pair them with legal representation that would make things cheap and easy for them?
Update: Spoken to two lawyers today. both ballparked between 80-110k all in for these two cases. I have another dozen to chat with before boss is satisfied with this effort.
