‘exit Package’ + Nda
Location: MO
Put in my 30-day notice & company is offering me a ‘recognition / exit package’ & also asking me to sign an NDA. Which is feeling a lot like they are paying me off. For context things have been contentious over the last 18-months. Early last year I suffered a life changing medical event that impacted my ability to do my job to the same standards - despite having communicated this to management they were effectively trying to manage me out. It’s important to note I am the only woman on my team. I went out on FMLA & on the day of my return was informed that I would not be returning to the same position & was effectively being moved to an entry level position.. a demotion ($12k+ salary cut, exempt to non-exempt, etc) Prior to going out on leave I was on a PIP & a final written warning. Upon my return I came to learn that I was the only person on my team ever written up & to never receive an annual bonus, despite others on team having engaged in same behaviors I was written up for. Is this a reasonable request from them? What would be a realistic ‘recognition / exit package’ to expect for this?
