HomeServices of America is continuing to add to its executive team. On Thursday, the firm announced the appointment of Jimmy Burgess as chief coaching officer, a new role at the brokerage firm.

Burgess will lead the design and implementation of agent and leadership coaching across the HomeServices ecosystem. According to a press release, Burgess will provide agents and brokers with strategic coaching initiatives that support performance, productivity and personal growth.

“Coaching is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity in today’s market,” Chris Kelly, president and CEO of HomeServices of America, said in a statement. “This national role reflects our commitment to investing in people, performance, and long-term growth.

“To add someone of Jimmy’s expertise to the role makes our organization even more of a leader in this arena. His energy, clarity, and agent-first philosophy make him the ideal leader to shape the future of coaching at HomeServices.”

Burgess has coached thousands of agents and has authored several training resources. In addition to his new role, Burgess will also serve as the president of the Santa Rosa Beach, Florida-based Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Beach Properties of Florida.

“I am very excited to help move our enterprise forward through investing personally in our people,” Burgess said in a statement. “A commitment of this magnitude to training speaks volumes about our agent-centric approach to our organization. The more skills we equip our agents with, the more successful they will be in serving the needs of their clients.”

HomeServices said the addition of the chief coaching position and Burgess’ appointment are signs of the company’s “ongoing investment in professional development and innovation, ensuring agents and leaders across the organization are equipped to thrive in any market condition.”

Earlier this week, the company announced the addition of Renee Gonzales as its new vice president of core services integrations.

This week’s appointments mark the fifth and sixth executive appointments at the firm since April, including the promotion of Kelly after Gino Blefari stepped down.

Other appointments include Alex Seavall as chief financial and operations officer, and Candace Adams as executive vice president of HomeServices of America — the role vacated by Kelly.

The company also recently hired Vince Leisey as the president of HSF Affiliates, the franchisor of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices (BHHS).
