Re/max Continues To Grow With New Affiliation In New Jersey

The growth momentum at RE/MAX is continuing. Less than a week after announcing a large expansion in Hawaii, the company announced a new affiliation in northern New Jersey. 

Simply Real Estate is joining the RE/MAX family, and rebranding as RE/MAX Simply. 

Opening in 2011, Simply Real Estate was founded and led by Andy Hong, who made the move to real estate brokerage after a career in mortgage lending. 

“We’ve always focused on integrity, professionalism, and work ethic,” Hong said in a statement. “But in today’s competitive market, our agents need more – more tools, more exposure, more support. RE/MAX gives us that edge.”

According to Hong, the decision to join RE/MAX and rebrand was made collaboratively with his office’s core team of agents. 

“Everyone was excited about the move. The RE/MAX brand brings confidence, credibility and new recruiting opportunities that will benefit us all,” Hong said. 

The firm and its 16 agents will continue to serve clients throughout Fort Lee, Leonia, Palisades Park and Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. Hong said he hopes to grow the company and bring more agents on board. 

In recent years, RE/MAX has faced an agent count slump in the U.S. In Q2 2025 alone, despite reporting a record-high number of agents in its global network, U.S. agent count was down 7.0% annually to 49,669 agents. 

Despite the decline, RE/MAX executives remain optimistic about their company’s efforts to bolster agent count. 

“Our continued focus on enhancing our value proposition is driving strong demand for the RE/MAX brand, and we’re seeing early signs of U.S. agent count stabilization,” Erik Carlson, the CEO of RE/MAX, said during the firm’s Q2 2025 earnings call with investors last Wednesday. “Now this demand is showing up in our M&A efforts as well, and we’ve closed several deals this year and are increasingly excited about the pipeline our new leaders are building.”
