Hankin Group announces expansion of Pennsylvania community
Real estate firm the Hankin Group has announced a $67 million expansion of the Eagleview Landing senior living community in Exton, Pennsylvania, according to a news release.
The project includes adding 117 luxury independent living units for those 62 and older, with the project expected to finish construction in November 2026. The property’s first phase of construction includes 107 assisted living and memory care residences and 9,000 square-feet of amenity spaces.
New amenities will include a new wellness center with a fitness center, indoor pool and spa, theater, game rooms and a golf simulator. Residents also have access to personal care services, memory care services and hospice coordination.
Pennrose announces affordable senior housing project in Arizona
Development firm Pennrose along with the Butler Housing Company and Arizona Department of Housing announced a $57 million, two-phase affordable senior housing project in downtown Phoenix, Arizona, according to a news release.
The development will include 120 income-restricted apartments for those 55 and older. Phase one of the project is now open and includes a 60-unit, four-story community with studio and one-bedroom apartments with rents ranging between 30% and 60% of the area’s median income (AMI).
The second phase is now under construction and includes an additional 60 senior housing units at or below 60% of the AMI, with 12 units reserved for homeless older adults.
The all-electric, National Green Building Standard Silver certified project includes a fitness center, outdoor courtyard, recreation area, multi-purpose community room, parking and an onsite management office. Residents will also have access to supportive services provided by the Greater Phoenix Urban League and Central Arizona Shelter Services.
Reuse project brings intergenerational affordable housing in NYC
The Perennial is a $150 million mixed-use redevelopment project to add intergenerational affordable housing in the Queens borough of New York City, according to a news release.
The redevelopment project gives new life to the former site of the Parkway hospital into a 156,133 square-feet of affordable housing. Construction is expected to be completed in 2027 and include 145 affordable apartments for households earning up to 50% of the area median income.
A total of 124 units will be dedicated to older adults and 44 units for formerly homeless seniors, along with 20 units for families. As part of the project, a new 34,000 square-foot Forest Hills Jewish Center will include a soaring column-free sanctuary and a limestone facade. The building will undergo a full interior conversion with a two-story addition and an eight-story north wing, along with a four-story northwest addition.
Resident amenities will include a community room, pantry, children’s playroom, laundry facilities, library, computer and exercise rooms, indoor/outdoor gathering spaces, a seventh-floor lounge with kitchenette, and a rooftop terrace, roll-in showers, handrails and seating to support aging in place.
The development team includes Foxy Development and Selfhelp Realty Group, with Newman Design as architect, Cityscape Engineering as structural engineer and Suffolk Construction as general contractor, financed through a combination of public and private funding.

Insight Living makes progress in Arizona
Insight Living is well underway with construction in Buckeye, Arizona for a 201-unit independent living, assisted living and memory care community, according to a LinkedIn post by Insight Living Principal Bryan Ziebart.
The community will be part of the company’s Ativo Senior Living brand and aims to meet a “significant care and housing gap” in Arizona, Ziebart said in the post.
The project was financed by HJ Sims with construction by Baxter Construction Company and will be owned by the Integrated Senior Foundation, Insight Living’s parent company.
LCS starts on life plan expansion in Indiana
LCS has started construction on the expansion at Greenwood Village South, a life plan community in Greenwood, Indiana, according to a news release.
The project to expand the community includes adding 42 new independent living apartments, known as The Village Flats, while also adding 27,000 square-feet of new common area and amenity spaces.
The expansion includes a new natatorium, coffee shop and bistro, library, game room, fitness center, courtyard with gathering areas, classroom space, administrative and marketing suite, and a 275-seat auditorium. The community expansion also includes a redesigned front entrance, improving accessibility and curb appeal of the overall community, according to the release.
LCS is leading the development with AG Architecture as the architect, Meyer Najem as the general contractor, Kimley Horn as the civil engineer, RDG Design as the interior design consultant and Ziegler serving as the investment advisor.
Construction is expected to be completed in 2027.
