ICE Mortgage Technology has delayed the retirement of its Encompass SDK system and certain other legacy technologies until Dec. 31, 2026, according to an announcement posted on the company’s website.

ICE’s SDK, along with other older systems, was slated to sunset on Oct. 31 of this year. ICE announced the transition in September 2024, with users expected to move to Encompass API-compliant products or features native to the loan origination system.

Legacy customers were also expected to begin ordering appraisals, closing fees, documents, flood insurance, mortgage insurance, pricing, tax services, title and verifications through Encompass Partner Connect (EPC).

“At ICE, our mission is to drive innovation and equip mortgage professionals with the ability to enhance the borrower experience, maximize ROI, and improve efficiency with advanced technology. To achieve this, we’re continuing to invest in modern solutions and transitioning from legacy technologies, including the Encompass SDK (Software Development Kit),” the online announcement read.

“To best support our customers, we are extending the SDK transition deadline to December 31, 2026. This additional time period provides an opportunity for our clients to confidently adopt and implement a robust, enhanced modern technology stack as you retire legacy integrations and applications.”

Although SDK will remain supported, no new features will be added starting Nov. 1, 2025, according to the FAQ section of the announcement.

After the December 2026 deadline, transitional SDK access will require special approval and will incur monthly fees, according to a resource page that includes a countdown calendar. As of Monday, 499 days are left.

Legacy systems impacted by the EPC shift include ePass, TQL, EMN and PSDK. ICE noted that more than 70% of service orders now flow through EPC, with adoption exceeding 90% in some categories.
