Kevin Wall, the co-president of First American Title, has left the company unexpectedly, according to a report from Inside Mortgage Finance.

The departure was confirmed on Wednesday by a spokesperson for parent company First American Financial Corp., although no reason was given for his exit.

Wall had been with the title underwriter for more than 11 years, most recently overseeing the company’s agent and lender group that includes subsidiaries such as Docutech, ServiceMac and FirstFunding.

In a statement given to Inside Mortgage Finance, the spokesperson said that “First American is grateful for his many contributions over the years and wishes him all the best in his next chapter.”

Inside Mortgage Finance cited three individuals familiar with the situation who confirmed the departure but did not disclose further details.

First American Title hired Wall as president of its First American Mortgage Services division in August 2013. That followed previous leadership roles in the homebuying technology sector.
