Evergreen Assumes Management Of More Than 50 Arden Courts Communities

Evergreen Management has assumed operations of 57 senior living communities, the majority of which belong to the Arden Courts brand.

Toledo, Ohio-based Evergreen announced that, as of Aug. 1, it had taken on management of 53 Arden Courts specialized memory care properties and four independent living and assisted living communities. Evergreen is adding that slate of communities to the 11 Auberge memory care communities that it already manages.

Evergreen did not elaborate further on the timing or circumstances of the new management agreements, and the company did not immediately return a request for comment from Senior Housing News Friday.

The transition was “designed to prioritize stability for residents, families and staff,” according to the release, and Evergreen’s leadership team is “already guiding day-to-day operations” of these properties to “ensure trusted care continues without interruption,” Evergreen CEO Justin Skiver said in the press release.

“The Arden Courts and Auberge communities have a long-standing reputation for specialized care,” Skiver said. “We’re honored to continue that legacy with steady leadership, supportive teams, and a clear focus on residents and families.”

Priorities for Evergreen following the transition include “maintaining operational continuity,” along with introducing new branding and “expanding employee development and support resources,” the release states.

“Our teams have built meaningful relationships with residents and families over many years, and we are excited to continue to serve our customers,” Luke Pile, president and COO said in the news release. “This transition ensures we can keep that continuity in place—while giving our teams the support and resources they deserve.”

Arden Courts communities were once part of the ProMedica brand and was part of a joint venture with real estate investment trust (REIT) Welltower (NYSE: WELL) in 2020.
