Dark Matter Technologies announced on Tuesday that it has established an integration with the Uniform Collateral Data Portal (UCDP), a single portal jointly maintained by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

According to a release from Dark Matter, the expansion positions the mortgage technology company as an early adopter of the technology required to support the Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) 3.6 and Forms Redesign initiative.

“By proactively adapting to these industry-driven updates, Dark Matter is demonstrating its technological leadership and commitment to driving efficiency in the mortgage ecosystem,” said Stephanie Durflinger, chief product officer at Dark Matter. “This achievement helps us better serve our lending partners and opens the door to broader capabilities in digital appraisal delivery.”

The new UAD 3.6 format enters limited production for GSE-approved lenders on Sept. 8, 2025, and becomes mandatory for all UCDP appraisal submissions starting Nov. 2, 2026.

The new integration allows for submission of appraisal report data to the GSEs via UCDP, helping them comply with upcoming appraisal standards and demonstrating Dark Matter’s early readiness for the UAD 3.6 initiative, putting them ahead of the mandate.

Enhancements include Empower and the Exchange Network support for the new appraisal report data file, ZIP file submissions, six additional data fields to enrich property details and a simplified process for extracting PDF and XML files. These tools ease the transition to UAD 3.6 and streamline reporting for all residential property types.
