California Agent Brian Sperry Returns To Compass

Brian Sperry — a top-producing real estate agent in Orange County, California — has rejoined Compass, bringing with him a three-person team to the firm’s Newport Beach office.
Sperry and his team — which includes agents Blair Walsh and Tracy Davis — specialize in coastal Orange County communities, particularly Newport Beach and Corona del Mar.
The group was previously affiliated with Coldwell Banker and earned a spot among the top 13 small teams in Orange County on the 2025 RealTrends Verified rankings.
With more than $73 million in closed sales volume in 2024 and a career total exceeding $450 million, Sperry is known for representing an affluent clientele that includes business executives, professional athletes, entertainment figures, developers and high net worth individuals.
“Returning to Compass is a strategic, long-term move for both my clients and my business,” Sperry said in a statement. “Compass has the strongest platform in the industry by far, its tech stack gives me a competitive edge to deliver more value, more efficiently and creatively.
“There’s also a real energy within the Compass agent community offering a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. I knew I wanted to be part of that again and contribute to the momentum.”
Sperry began his career in real estate as a builder of high-end speculative homes throughout Southern California. He has been licensed since 2004 and active in residential sales since 2016.
His approach includes working with a network of vendors, offering strategic renovation advice and creating customized marketing plans for sellers.
“Strategy is everything to me,” Sperry added. “Compass’ three-phase marketing approach is by far the most effective way to bring a property to market. My business has always been built around client success and making smart, results-driven decisions. Partnering with a company that shares that commitment positions my clients for the strongest possible outcome.”
Sperry’s notable transactions include the $23 million sale of Republican Party donor Buck Johns’ 3.5-acre estate in Newport Beach in August 2024 — a record-setting sale in the county at the time.
Sperry has also represented land deals now valued at more than $175 million and brokered Newport Harbor’s highest-priced home sale in 2016 at $20 million.
A cancer survivor and father of four, Sperry donates a portion of each transaction to Miracles for Kids — a nonprofit that assists families of critically ill children.
“We’re proud to welcome Brian and his team back to Compass,” said Rob Norquist, managing director of sales at Compass Newport Beach. “Brian brings a high level of professionalism, a strong track record of success, and deep market expertise that consistently delivers results.
“He’s a tremendous asset to our growing presence in Orange County, and we’re excited to support him and his clients in this next chapter.”
