Bright Mls, Williamsburg Mls Launch Data Share

Bright MLS has agreed to share its data with yet another multiple listing service. On Wednesday, Bright announced that it had entered into a data sharing agreement with Virginia-based Williamsburg MLS (WMLS).
Through the data share, subscribers of either MLS can search and share listings with subscribers of both MLSs.
Williamsburg MLS covers the cities of Williamsburg, Hampton, Newport News, and Poquoson, James City County, York County, Yorktown, Gloucester County, Surry County, New Kent County, Charles City County, and the Town of West Point.
Bright said this data share, along with the one with Central Virginia Regional MLS announced in May, is part of its “commitment to helping [its] subscribers grow their business, expand their network, and maximize exposure for their listings.”
WMLS shared a similar sentiment, noting that the data share is part of its continued effort to simplify and expand data access throughout the region, providing improved efficiency for agents throughout the area.
“This data share represents a major advancement in our ongoing mission to provide subscribers with broader access to essential listing information,” Charlie Willits, the CEO of WMLS, said in a statement. “Through this collaboration, our MLSs are opening new doors for agents and brokers — enhancing service and delivering more value to consumers.”
If an agent or broker is already a member of both MLSs, Bright says that moving forward agents will only need to enter their listings into their primary MLS and not both MLSs.
Bright engages in several data shares, including a large agreement with California Regional MLS launched last October.
