E1's Failure To Connect When Away From Home
This past May, I left the country for a trip and as soon as I got to the airport, I realized that I was not able to access my Reolink E1 cameras. They started all failing to connect, then some were available, then go back to all being unavailable. At a few moments in my trip, I was able to access all of them.
Has anyone had this issue with any solution?
I kept testing them back and forth from home again and it seemed good enough, about 50% of the time it was accessible. This past weekend I went on a day trip and decided to test. All four cameras "failed to connect."
Here is what has NOT worked as a solution:
- Using data or wifi has made no difference
- Using 4G or 5G has made no difference
- Having a vpn on or off has not made a difference
- Restarting the app, restarting the phone and Force Stopping the app, no difference
When I get back home, connect to my home's wifi, the cameras connect again. Very useless for remote monitoring. I also took them off wifi, while still at home and they do connect again.
Customer support tried to help, but they couldn't do anything and were stumped.
