Cornell Research Video Podcast Returns For Second Season
Cornell’s “Research Matters” video podcast is returning for an 18-episode second season focused on how university research affects everyday decisions, public systems and emerging technology.
The season opens with behavioral economist Suzanne Shu explaining research on procrastination, overspending and attachment to possessions. New episodes will be released Tuesdays at noon throughout the semester.
Upcoming guests will discuss robots in hospital emergency departments, technology used to study the universe’s oldest light, atomic-scale microscopy, tipping, health insurance, global economic instability and climate-focused design.
Other episodes will explore elder care, democratic backsliding, rural-urban political divisions, misinformation and the social effects of artificial intelligence.
The series is hosted by Cornell Chronicle writer Laura Reiley and produced by University Relations. Episodes will appear on the Cornell Chronicle website, podcast platforms and YouTube, with shorter clips distributed on social media.
