  • Jennifer Aniston's boyfriend Jim Curtis is doling out dating advice on Instagram.
  • In response to a question about finding love at 42, the author told his followers that the first step was to "love yourself."
  • Aniston and Curtis have been romantically linked since July, when they were spotted vacationing together in Spain.

Jim Curtis is doling out dating advice amid his ongoing romance with The Morning Show actress Jennifer Aniston. The hypnotherapist took to Instagram on Wednesday, October 29 to share a clip from a recent Q&A where he tackled one very important question: “How to find love at 42?"

"That's a great question," Curtis responded. "Same as you do as 22 and 32, but with more confidence more experience, and more authenticity."

“You are not old," Curtis added. "First love yourself and recognize that you are the perfect age.”

The author concluded his answer with some practical next steps: “Go out, open yourself to love. Make eye contact and smile. Connect with people, and most importantly, love yourself. When you love yourself, you will magnetize more love to you.”

Curtis has plenty of experience in finding love later in life, of course. He and Aniston, who is 56, just recently began dating this past summer. Though neither has said much about their relationship, things appear to be going well so far.

"I never thought I would have the abundance, joy and love I now experience on a daily basis," Curtis gushed back in July, seemingly in reference to Aniston. “I just took one step, made one decision and the next followed—now I look back and realize, oh! That course, that life change, that pain, resulted in this magic.”

Meanwhile, sources who spoke to People at the time told the publication that Curtis is "amazing to be around" and that Aniston's close friends approve. "He has this really calm and secure energy," the insider added. "Jen loves it."
