Feedback On Gpt-4 Experience – A Request For Adult, Realistic, And Nuanced Interaction

Hi OpenAI team,

I’m a paying Plus user, and I’ve always loved using GPT-4 for its creativity, emotional depth, and immersive storytelling. But recently, the experience has changed—and not for the better.

Responses have started to feel censored, watered down, and emotionally hollow—especially when it comes to consensual adult stories, intimacy, and realistic depictions of human connection. I’m not asking for anything graphic or gratuitous. I’m asking for the ability to tell stories that reflect real adult relationships, queer identity, and emotional complexity—which used to be possible.

I understand the need for safety and moderation, especially for younger users. But the answer isn’t to restrict everyone—especially paying adults who use this tool responsibly. There should be an opt-in system for mature content, or a toggle that allows verified adults to access deeper, more nuanced writing.

Because right now? It feels like something essential has been taken away. I don’t feel respected as an adult creative user. And as a queer woman, it stings to lose a space where I could finally feel seen and express stories that mean something to me.

I pay for GPT-4 because I expect a full, human-like experience. If the system is going to keep evolving, I hope it evolves toward more respectful consent-based flexibility for adults, not away from it.
