I’m a uni student with 2 years experience in local seo/marketing. I worked for relatives and some friends and would like to take my side job to the next level, i need some tips.

I live in a high income country, and my target is a small region with around 350k people, 3 major cities (biggest one with 60k people). So the market is super small. But the competition is inexistent and pretty much no one has their google business profile optimized.

The volume for many keywords is pretty low (tattoo around 350/month in one city, dentist around 700/month for another city, plumber around 170/month just to have some examples). But there’s definitely money to be made.

The marketing agencies here charges a minimum of around $2000/month, and even for just social media management (posting every week and getting 5 likes, and 99% 0 clients, start at 1500$/month).

Many small businesses can’t afford that and do everything by themselves, but with pretty bad results.

My plan is to target those, with prices like: 350/month for google business profile optimization and management and $500/month for gbp+website. For many of these businesses even 1-2 more clients more per month would result in a positive ROI.

I know I can bring the results (as I said, low competition and I’ve done it several times with good results). But I don’t know if the strategy make sense and if the prices are okay. Maybe once I get the first clients I can raise the prices but yeah, not sure and would really appreciate some tips!
