Rise Broadband rebrands to become Rise Internet
Refocusing on its internet capability and its commitment to customer experience, Rise Broadband announced this week that it is rebranding as Rise Internet.
The company recently relocated its headquarters to the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, area, made strategic network upgrades, and renewed its commitment to customer experience, leading to what the company calls a significant transformation in how it operates.
The company also continues to expand. Over the next year, Rise Internet expects to expand its network coverage to an additional 3.2 million homes and businesses in Texas, which the company said reflects its broader mission to strengthen connectivity in areas that have historically been underserved or overlooked by traditional providers. Additionally, Rise Internet is deploying Wi-Fi 7 and bringing gigabit speeds to many areas across its footprint.
To enhance customer experience, Rise Internet has launched a fully U.S.-based contact center. The company said the contact center brings more than 100 new jobs to the city where it is headquartered and provides better customer service.
“Rise Internet represents who we are today and where we’re headed,” Rod Millar, the company’s CEO, said in a prepared statement.
“We believe great internet service isn’t just about speed or technology. It’s about responsiveness, local customer service, honest pricing and a promise to keep improving. Strong internet isn’t a luxury utility confined to big city living, it’s an essential service that supports work, education, health care and daily life. Rise Internet is proud to offer that to people wherever they choose to live.”
The rebrand of Rise Internet follows in the recent footsteps of other broadband providers: Altice USA rebranded itself as Optimum Communications, Inc., and changed its New York Stock Exchange ticker symbol from “ATUS” to “OPTU.” Consolidated Communications rebranded itself as Fidium — for several years beforehand, the provider used the Fidium name as a brand for its fiber broadband service.
