Project Cost Out Manager
Driving structural cost reduction across the product lifecycle, the full-time remote Project Cost Out Manager will manage cross-functional collaboration between Sourcing and Engineering teams to identify and execute cost-out opportunities while ensuring product quality and performance. Key responsibilities Partner with Engineering and Commodity teams to integrate cost control principles into product development Lead workshops to generate and manage cost-reduction ideas, focusing on material substitution and design simplification Oversee the execution of cost-out projects, tracking progress and validating savings through P&L analysis Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience 5-8+ years of experience in product costing, value engineering, procurement, or product design Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as forgings, machining, and fabrication Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with strict timelines Proven ability to influence stakeholders and resolve technical disagreements effectively
