Notre Dame Baseball Starts Its Weekend Off With A Home Rout

Notre Dame baseball is streaking right now, as they are battling for a spot in the NCAA Tournament, and on Friday night they got a big 10-0 win over Bowling Green in Frank Eck Stadium.
The run-rule win improves the Irish’s record to 27-19, as they inch closer to solidifying a bid to the tournament. While this victory won’t be viewed as a big one, Notre Dame did what they needed to do, and took care of business.
Starter Jack Radel allowed just three hits, and no runs in five innings, striking out five. Both relievers Oisin Lee and Chase Van Ameyde pitched clean innings as well. As for the offense, it was designated hitter Davis Johnson leading the charge with three hits, three RBI.
Right fielder Brady Gumpf also had a big game, with two hits, one of them a home run and also tallied 3 RBI. Eight of the nine starters had a hit in the rout. The two teams will face off against each other later today, with first pitch scheduled for 2:00 p.m. ET.
