First Migrant Group Return Flights In "one In, One Out" Deal Underway

The first group removals of illegal migrants under the UK’s one in, one out deal with France have now begun, in what ministers are calling a “momentous step” in the government’s fight to tackle the migrant crisis.
In the past week, two group flights returned a total of 19 individuals to France, following the earlier return of seven people last month.
More group flights are expected to take place in the coming days and weeks.
Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood exclusively told GB News: “These flights mark a turning point in our fight against the criminal gangs exploiting our borders. We're delivering on our promise to restore order to our immigration system.
“These group removals send an uncompromising message: if you enter the UK illegally, you face being detained and removed. It is not worth the risk.
“The failed Rwanda scheme took years and cost hundreds of millions sending just four volunteers. We've returned 26 people in a matter of weeks through real action. But this is just the beginning. This government will do whatever it takes to dismantle the smugglers' business model, get people out of expensive hotels, and end the chaos at the border.”
