Disney Just Dropped 4 Major Announcements

Disney just dropped some MAJOR news, and you need to know about it!

On March 18th, 2026, Disney held its annual Shareholder Meeting. While some more standard business things (like the election of Board of Directors members and an update on the Disability Access Service) were discussed, we also got some BIG updates on a bunch of projects Disney is working on. Let’s break it all down right here!

Release Date for Live-Action Lilo & Stitch Sequel

For those who loved the Lilo & Stitch live-action film that released in 2025, we’ve got fantastic news — Disney just announced when the sequel film will be on its way!

However, we do have quite a while to wait, as it won’t release until May 26th, 2028. We’ll be anxiously awaiting the day it releases, that’s for sure!

Incredibles 3 ALSO Releases in 2028!

That’s not the only film we found out will be coming to theaters in 2028, though. Disney also revealed that Incredibles 3 is on the way!

This new film will come out on June 26th, 2028, so just about a month after the new Lilo & Stitch film. We’ll be in the theaters a lot that summer, it seems, but we’re not complaining!

New Look at Toy Story 5

Toy Story 5 comes to theaters on June 19th, and during the shareholder meeting, we got another look at the new film, and got officially introduced to our main antagonist, Lilypad.

Now we know that Lilypad is Bonnie’s new tablet, and she’s “always listening.” It’s clear the other toys aren’t too fond of her, and are frankly concerned about what she can do. We can’t wait to see how this new film turns out, and are already planning on grabbing our tickets as soon as they become available!

A NEW Disney Cruise Ship

Finally, we got a huge announcement out of Disney Cruise Line — there’s a NEW ship coming our way, and it’s called the Disney Believe!

This new ship will focus on “powerful tales of characters who believe in themselves and their dreams,” and include IP and details from Encanto, Frozen, Snow White, Moana, The Little Mermaid, and more. It’s expected to set sail in 2027, which means we only have one more year to wait!
