Cops Bust Online Predator

Hyderabad:Hyderabad cybercrime police arrested Kuna Dharma Rao, 25, of Srikakulam, for creating fake social media profiles, harassing a woman entrepreneur and operating a fraudulent website offering fake dating services. He used fake social media accounts to contact a Hyderabad-based woman who runs an business on YouTube. After she refused to meet him despite repeated requests, he began posting vulgar and abusive comments on her platform.

In a shocking revelation, police found that he had purchased Aadhaar cards from mendicants for `2,000 each and used them to open bank accounts and create fake identities. He also employed AI tools to impersonate others online. Police seized one laptop, two mobile phones, multiple SIM cards, bank documents and fake identity cards from his possession.

Teen held for flag removal

Hyderabad:The Saidabad police booked and questioned Mohammed Abdul Zakir, 19, for removing an Israeli flag at the Secretariat on Friday. Saidabad inspector B. Kotaiah said: “One case was filed against on theft charges. He was served a notice. In the second case, the accused are yet to be identified and investigation is ongoing,” the inspector said. Zakir was not arrested.

In a follow-up video, Zakir stated that four police officers visited his home and that he spent nearly 11 hours at the police station. He admitted that his actions might have sent the wrong message. “We are young, and it’s better that we stay away from such actions,” he said, urging others not to repeat the mistake.

Zakir also claimed that some individuals seen in another video pulling down flags appeared to be minors. He appealed to youth to avoid such behaviour and advised social media users not to share the videos further.
