Aqara Launches Smart Lock B50 At Lowe’s, Bringing Affordable Wi-fi Smart Security To The Mass Market

Aqara has expanded its U.S. presence with the launch of the Smart Lock B50, a Wi-Fi deadbolt designed to offer simple, secure, and affordable smart access for everyday homeowners. Now available at more than 500 Lowe’s locations and on Lowes.com, the B50 is built to streamline home entry with mobile control, PIN code access, and broad third-party compatibility — all without the need for a hub.

The B50 integrates directly with the Aqara Home app as well as Apple Home, Amazon Alexa and Google Home, enabling homeowners to lock, unlock, and manage access from their phones. Users can generate one-time, recurring, or permanent PIN codes for family members, guests, or service providers, and the lock’s anti-peek feature allows additional random digits to be added before or after the code to prevent shoulder-surfing. An auto-lock function further boosts security by ensuring the door secures itself after a set delay.

Remote management is a core part of the B50’s appeal. Through the Aqara Home app, homeowners can monitor lock status and modify PIN access from anywhere. Native Alexa and Google Home integration makes it easy to pair the lock with video doorbells and other smart devices, enabling convenient guest interactions and hands-free control. Thanks to built-in Wi-Fi, none of these features require an additional hub — though users who want broader interoperability can connect the B50 to an Aqara Matter hub, unlocking access to platforms such as Apple Home and enabling multi-app Matter support.

Simple install smart lock

Installation is intentionally simple. The B50 slots into most standard deadbolt cutouts with no drilling required, making it suitable for DIYers, multi-unit properties, or homeowners upgrading from a traditional lock. Power comes from four AA batteries, delivering up to six months of life, and a USB-C port allows emergency charging via a power bank. For complete peace of mind, a physical key option remains available for urgent situations.

Aqara’s partnership with Lowe’s marks a significant step in its U.S. expansion, giving the company access to a wide audience of homeowners, professionals, and smart-home adopters.

“The partnership with Lowe’s is a major milestone for Aqara,” said Cathy You, Senior Vice President of Global Business and Strategy at Aqara. “By bringing the Smart Lock B50 to Lowe’s, we’re able to reach homeowners and professionals who are looking for simple, secure, and scalable smart home solutions. We are thrilled to bring more tailored solutions with our partners to make homes more convenient and secure.”
