[advice] 18 Year Old Planning For Future

Card image cap

Hello all, I hope this is the right place for this. I have been looking at a few posts that seem somewhat similar to my current situation, but they were a little outdated so I wanted some up to date advice for my specific situation. So to start, I am turning 18 in about a month and I currently have roughly $8,500 in my savings account. By the end of this year I plan on making roughly $7000 from my job this year and about $2000 from scholarship refunds which will bring my total savings to about $17,500 by the end of the year. In the fall I will be attending college, but it is fully covered by my scholarships and I will be living at home with my parents. I do not have a credit card or any savings accounts open. When I turn 18 I plan on getting a credit card to build my credit but I will not go into any debt because I rarely buy things other than necessities (I spend about $500 a year currently). In about 3 years I plan to also attend grad school to get a masters degree. I am looking for advice on what accounts I should open or how I should split my money to plan for my future. Ideally, I will be getting married in lets say 10 years max and will be having children sometime after that which will also require getting a loan for a house. I would also like to start a small business in the next few years to earn an additional stream of income so I will need some money for that. Additionally, I would like to be able to retire my parents soon. Any advice on how I should spread my money out to achieve my goals would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
