Have you ever seen a vehicle in a movie and thought, “I want that. Not one that looks like it — that exact one!”? Well, if you watched the 2023 thriller/road movie “He Went That Way,” starring Zachary Quinto and Jacob Elordi, and you fell in love with a certain truck that appeared in it (and transported a monkey), check out our Pick of the Day. You can find this 1964 Chevrolet C10 panel truck listed on ClassicCars.com by a dealership in Lenexa, Kansas. It comes with a copy of the bill of sale. The video below shows an exterior walk-around, the interior, and the truck’s appearance in the movie’s official trailer.

As Chevrolet made sure to point out in one of its brochures, its 1964 line of trucks benefited from all the advancements the company made in the previous five years. That long list of new features included an independent front suspension for light-duty models, ladder frames, six-cylinder and V-8 engines, transmission choices, and interior comfort features. Its line of panel trucks were available with two or four-wheel drive, the choice of two wheelbase and body lengths, and a GVW (gross vehicle weight) rating of up to 7,800 pounds (perhaps enough to haul a barrel of monkeys).

This particular C10 has several of its own specific updates. The high-contrast combination of Maroon and Cream (which even extends to the hood) gives it a certain racy look. Just in case the rear storage compartment isn’t roomy enough, there’s a detachable basket on top of the roof.

If you look closely, you’ll spot exhaust pipes exiting in front of the rear wheels. Those are attached to a big update under the hood: an LS 5.3-liter V-8 equipped with headers, aluminum radiator, and electric fan. The column-shifted 4L60E four-speed automatic sends the engine’s power to a 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 gears.

Interior revisions are low-key, such as the door panel speakers, Dakota Digital VHX analog gauges, and newer tan vinyl and fabric upholstery on the bench seat. Other features include a wood-rimmed steering wheel, power steering, and AM radio. Classic Performance Products power front disc brakes are ready to swing into action if you go bananas and start gibbon the LS too much gas.

The rear doors open to a large storage area with a few black mats to keep the load floor from getting scratched up.

This 1964 Chevrolet C10 panel truck already looks cool, so its appearance in a movie is just a bonus. If you want to get it, don’t monkey around — buy it now for $26,500.
