Florida Man Was Doing 90 With 34 Open White Claws On His Passenger Seat
- Troopers say the driver was traveling over 90 mph on I-75.
- Investigators reportedly found 34 open White Claw cans inside the Civic.
- The driver was arrested and charged with DUI in Pasco County.
Florida’s reputation for bizarre traffic stops is already well established, but even by Sunshine State standards, this one stands out. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), troopers pulled over a Honda Civic for speeding and ended up discovering enough open White Claw cans inside the car to stock a small backyard party.
The most surprising part might not be the alleged intoxication. It could be that someone managed to fit 34 open cans on the passenger seat and still have room to drive.
The incident occurred on June 13 along Interstate 75 near mile marker 280 in Pasco County. According to the FHP, a trooper observed a Honda Civic traveling at more than 90 mph (145 km/h) before initiating a traffic stop. During the encounter, the trooper reportedly determined that the driver appeared heavily intoxicated and noticed dozens of open alcoholic beverage containers inside the vehicle.

Photos released by the agency show an alarming collection of open (and presumably empty) White Claw cans piled across the front passenger area. Investigators counted 34, but probably could’ve stopped after getting to ten or so. Authorities identified the driver as 34-year-old Conor William Parady of San Antonio, Florida. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence before being transported to the Pasco County Jail.
According to the FHP, Parady later registered a blood alcohol concentration of 0.117. Florida’s legal limit for most drivers is 0.08, meaning the reported result was nearly 50 percent above the threshold for impairment.
Working backward with those figures and the average weight of a 34-year-old male, most BAC calculators would conclude that he likely drank between eight and ten cans or the equivalent prior to his BAC test. How many he actually drank depends on how long he’d been at it, and given the 34 empties, this drive may have been going on far longer than we realize. Regardless, the best news here is that nobody was hurt, and one more person willing to endanger others this way is off the road for now.
