2002 Mercedes-benz Clk-gtr Seized By Fbi As Part Of Investigation
Ryan James Wedding, a Canadian who is currently wanted by the American FBI for murder, attempted murder, drug trafficking, and other crimes, is on the FBI Ten Most Wanted list.
While the FBI has raised the reward for his capture to $15 million, a 2002 Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR was seized as part of the investigation.
See, their is a connection to cars after all.
According to Sotheby's, only about 28 of these homologation-special cars were made and this one is probably worth $13 million.
These cars made a tick under 600 horsepower from their mid-mount. 6.0-liter V12s. They were rear-wheel drive and used a six-speed sequential transmission.
Wedding is a former snowboarder who represented Canada in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. According to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, Wedding's operation was bringing in more than a $1 billion in illegal money.
“He controls one of the most prolific and violent drug-trafficking organizations in this world,” Bondi said, adding that under Wedding’s direction his operation has trafficked 60 metric tons of cocaine per year. “He is the largest distributor of cocaine in Canada.”
Remember, kids, crime doesn't pay. Well, it might for a while, at least until your multi-million dollar Mercedes ends up in the hands of the Feds.
Seriously, though, this dude seems like a seriously bad guy -- steer clear of him and call the FBI if you've seen him.
